Char Koey Teow @ Kafe Heng Huat, Lorong Selamat Penang

My family and I had a 3 days trip to Penang when I was home in Malaysia. My aim was to visit all the famous eateries in 2 days. The famous Heng Huat Char Koey Teow is one I cannot miss.

Heng Huat Char Koey Teow is by far the most talked about CKT in Penang. We went [...]

Oh Rojak.. I miss you so!

My favourite fruit dessert – ROjak!! I had these countless times when I went back home. I had the one from Bangsar, from Taman Tun, and for the 1st time I tried the one from Kota Damansara.
I didn’t intend to have rojak that day, but we sort of gave up looking for chilli pan mee, so [...]

Penang Lor Bak @ Kheng Pin cafe

This is the 2nd time I have been to Kheng Pin cafe for their Lor Bak. Their business was made famous through food blogs like www.what2seeonline.com.

Many hawker places do offer Lor Bak, and no doubt they are equally good. Having said that, it is still rare to find Lor Bak with squids as fresh as this uncle’s.

The seafood he uses are [...]

Joez coconut jelly @ Jalan dato Keramat, Penang

I had such a fun day gallivanting with my two sisters around Penang town. My sister’s phone had GPS but it was lagging so most of the time we just used our eyes as guide. We had cars honking us and overtaking us from behind. Argh! Penang drivers have no patience at all. Nonetheless, we [...]

Fatty Loh Chicken Rice

I love chicken rice so much, it is my favourite dish to have whenever I go back home. I like the roasted chicken instead of the steamed chicken, and I like the thighs, sometimes I go for drumstick, but I never go for the breast meat, I find it too plain. If you noticed, the thighs tend [...]

Ocean Green Restaurant – Great place for seafood

I like the location of this restaurant very much, it is in front of the beach, and you can enjoy your dinner with a nice sea view. One thing in Penang, they have stray dogs everywhere, so be sure you pick a good spot with good view and not by the sides where the dogs [...]
